Brick Pointing & Stone Details — 274 Hoyt Street, Brooklyn
The broadest single-elevation scope in this set of projects — not one element but the whole front of the building: the brick pointing, the brownstone stoop, and the window sills and door header renewed together. This page documents the job in its finished state, from the crew's own walkthrough.
The Property
A brick townhouse of three-plus stories at 274 Hoyt Street in Brooklyn — orange brick, stone lintels and band courses, and a brownstone stoop at the entry.
The Work
The full front elevation: brick pointing across the facade, the brownstone stoop restored, and the window sills and the carved door header — the scrollwork lintel over the entry — renewed, so the stone details read sharp against the brick again.
The Result
Clean, uniform mortar joints across the elevation, fresh stone at every opening, and a smooth brownstone finish on the stoop — the building reading as one elevation again.
